I was born and raised in the suburbs north of Los Angeles. I got my first guitar when I was eleven, about to turn twelve. Christmas 1999. It was a black Squier Strat with a white pickguard. It came with a ten watt practice amp, a cable, a tuner, a gig bag, a pick and an extra set of strings. It doesn't seem like that would be enough to change the trajectory of someone's life, but in my case it certainly was.
That modest Squier Strat Pack led to more guitars and more amps and pedals and riffs and friends and bands and rehearsals and songs and shows and sessions and records and...
A creative, artistic life is a fulfilled one, but in the end something has to pay the bills. So in 2013 I enrolled at the Guitar Craft Academy in Hollywood, a division of Musician's Institute. My hope was to take my passion and translate it into a full fledged career. There I learned the art and science of designing, building and maintaining guitars and basses from Lance Alonzo, Dave Maddux and Paul Roberts. I came away from that school with two fully functional custom-built guitars, and more knowledge than I knew what to do with.
Upon completing my courses at GCA, I was hired at ESP Guitars as a Quality Control Technician. I worked there and as a Warranty Department Repair Tech for three years before being promoted to the ESP USA shop. In the USA shop I was responsible for everything from fretwork, to wiring, final assembly and shipping, honing my craft among true masters and mentors like Greg Burnett and Ryan Dominguez.
After moving to Tehachapi, I began working for Master Builder and renowned guitarist Gene Baker at b3 Guitars. For the next four years I helped build guitars that I am proud to say would stand up against the highest-end Custom Shop or Master-Built guitars in the world.
I am happy to bring all this of knowledge and experience to every guitar and bass that I get my hands on, and I hope to be able to make your tone and playability dreams a reality.
